Carpenter Job in Bellevue, Washington

Kern Construction provides finish carpentry services for new home construction in North King County and South Snohomish County. Services include but are not limited to millwork installation, including crown moulding, base, window trim, wainscot, cabinet installation, interior and exterior door installation. Our projects include the leading builders in the Pacific Northwest along with custom built high end niche homes. We have a need for a finish carpenter to join our team for job sites in Issaquah and Bellevue. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years experience in finish carpentry in a new construction environment. Requirements include: * 2 years experience installing base in a residential new construction environment. OR * 2 years experience installing interior doors, including bifolds in a residential new construction environment. AND * Basic experience utilizing table saws, miter boxes and air tools. * Ability to communicate with owners, general contractors, and other subcontractors in a professional manner as a representative of the company. * Understanding of measurements and measuring tools, including working with angles and basic geometry. * Reliable transportation. Additional experience we would like to see includes the following: * Demonstrated experience installing cabinets in a new residential construction environment. * Familiarity with hand tools including drills and power saws. The successful candidate will not be determined by years of experience, but by the quality of the experience they offer. We are not interested in candidates whose experience is primarily in remodeling.
