Carpenter Job in New York, New York

We are looking for experienced millworkers to install custom millwork for a high-end project. The position includes assembling furniture, cutting/ scribing material on site, securing material with cleats to walls, making cutouts for electrical, shimming/ leveling millwork as needed, making sure all finishes are perfect, receiving and distributing material from deliveries to site. This position requires a highly detail-oriented individual who has strong work experience as a millworker, and who cares strongly about the end result. This individual must be very organized, and able to communicate site issues to the superintendent and project manager, keeping track of all issues - and working cooperatively with other trades as needed. Fluency in English is a must. Installation includes headboards, beds, closets, trim, sliding doors, desks, nightstands, mirrors, shelving units, etc. - 2-3 years experience in millwork and furniture building - Must be OSHA-30 certified. Safety practices a must and priority with OSHA standards - Organized, detail and quality oriented. Ability to work with hand tools and power tools - Ability to work in physically demanding jobs, including standing, kneeling, bending, lifting (up to 50 pounds) and working at varying heights - Timely and accurate completion of essential responsibilities. Strong communication and listening skills essential. Experienced with prefinished millwork, Ability to read and work from drawings a plus. Speaking Italian is a plus. OSHA 30 Hour $14 - $25 /hour with room to grow Jobsite close by many trains Possibility of travel in the US Monday to Saturday Start Immediately. Pay Weekly. Job Type: Full-time
