Experienced Scenic Carpenter/ Lead Installer - THEME PARKS, EXP — 4 years min. Immediate hire: Temp to Perm (Apopka, FL only local applicants, apply) Position Overview: Our client, is looking for an energetic, professional Scenic Lead Installer. As a Scenic Installer, you will be responsible for maintaining all standards and procedures set forth by our installation team to ensure that we deliver a superb experience on every installation, measure, and repair. They are looking for a candidate that has custom fabrication and mill work experience along with Theme park experience. Compensation: DOE per hour -OT/ weekends & nights as required Requirements: • Current and valid driver's license and car insurance. • Willing to submit to initial drug screening. • Pass a background check/ no felonies. • Reliable Transportation. Qualification & Skills: • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills. • Professional appearance and demeanor. • Excellent telephone, written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions, safety guidelines and procedure manuals. • Basic math skills required. Ability to read a tape measure and convert nominal measurements. • Willingness to learn new products and processes • Ability to work independently • Provides exceptional customer service, and remain friendly, polite, courteous, and professional at all times. • Good people skills with a commitment to customer satisfaction. Work Experience: • 4 years mill work, installation (cabinets, doors/windows, molding, and flooring), and finished carpentry. • Remodeling/renovations experience or equivalent experience. • 2 years in customer service. • OSHA Certification and/or First Aid/CPR Certification, preferred. • College or Technical Education, preferred. Physical Ability: • Ability to lift 35 lbs. • Climbing up and down ladders. • Sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel crouch or crawl. • Specific vision abilities — required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: • Ensures that all completed materials & installations are accurately documented and transmitted to the install team immediately upon completion. • Adheres to scheduled appointments and arrives at all appointments on time. • Follows all standards and procedures including material handling and work processes. • Works to identify solutions with installation orientation or placement of the shades on-site when necessary. • Ensures that all materials, field supplies, and equipment are maintained and accurately inventoried at all times. • Maintains timely communication with all Scenic colleagues. • Skilled craftsman who is familiar and can work with laminate, wood, and plastics to finish high and medium end custom cabinets. • Ability to read blueprints, work from shop drawings, and read/understand design drawings to fabricate custom mill work products.
