Carpenter Job in Durham, North Carolina

Looking to hire a carpenter with at least 3 years of relevant experience.. We are a small, growing company with a dedicated focus on quality, not quantity. Looking for a member of our full time / long term crew. Plenty of growth potential here. We typically work M-F 8-5. VERY rarely do we work weekends. Some schedule flexibility. We are fully insured, etc. Our projects range from building decks and screen porches, to repairing historic houses, to timber framing, to building new modern houses from the ground up. We specialize in "outside the box" problem solving, non-traditional construction, energy efficiency, and close relationships with demanding clients and architects. We are sought out for our knowledge of and willingness to implement new, innovative technologies and techniques. This IS NOT a slap-it-up onto the next project crew. Candidates MUST have a truck, tools, experience, and a keen interest in mastering the craft. Must be able to read plans. Good communication, professional attitude, physical strength, positive attitude, and general desire to work hard building cool stuff... all needed. Ideal candidate can project-manage things like decks, sheds, and sections of larger, more complicated designs autonomously. Must be able to work well with (and, at times, manage) an assistant.
