Redhorse Corporation has an immediate need for a temporary Quality Assurance/Construction Manager (QA/CM) who will be responsible for construction oversight of architectural, civil, electrical, mechanical, and structural work associated with Project VNMH160001, located at Eareckson Air Station on the island of Shemya, Alaska. **Please note: the estimated length of this temporary assignment is May 1, 2018 - August 31, 2018. This project involves demolition of three 1940’s era wooden aircraft hangars: Hangars 2, 3 and 4. The QA/CM will oversee the supplemental Hazardous Building Material Survey and lead and asbestos abatement; both are required prior to demolition activities and will ensure demolition is performed in a manner that allows for the salvage of wooden structural members .The QA/CM will also assist the government with oversight of project planning and scheduling, project accounting and control, while ensuring compliance with quality standards and client satisfaction. The QA/CM may review the government’s contractor field activities to ensure they are being conducted according to regulatory and project-specific procedures. Will also assist in the surveillance, which shall include project documentation, photographs, daily surveillance log, and reports of immediate health and safety hazards observed. Travel and working in the field will be required. Responsibilities: ◾Manage client technical interface to ensure client project expectations are understood and that the project staff exceed these expectations while maintaining projected revenue and profit goals. ◾Monitor and manage the progress, budget, and schedule of all assigned projects throughout the entire project lifecycle. ◾Oversee contractor activities and ensure they are executed in accordance with the construction schedule, design, DoD, Federal, state, and local regulations. ◾Manage subcontractor relations and hold accountable for providing quality work. ◾Report progress and problems to the program manager and/or client service manager and achieve project profit goals. ◾Manage construction projects ensuring safely executed activities that meet specifications and design requirements. ◾Schedule and facilitate project status meetings with colleagues, client, and agencies. ◾Manage daily activities and reporting requirements and conduct periodic inspection of demolition sites. ◾Identify and manage potential risks or issues to give rise to disputes and claims. ◾Communicate/interact with clients, regulatory agencies, and end users. Position Requirements: Minimum requirements ◾B.S. or higher degree in engineering, or related field. ◾Ten (10) to fifteen (15) plus years of construction project management, including experience with demolition projects. ◾EM 385-1-1 Safety Certification preferred. ◾Working knowledge of the procedures and principles involved with asbestos or environmental remediation, including applicable OSHA and EPA regulations for asbestos, lead-based paint, etc. ◾Experience conducting Hazardous Building Material Surveys and lead and asbestos abatement. ◾AHERA accreditation training and/or state licensing as Asbestos Project Monitor or Asbestos Inspector. ◾EPA accreditation as Lead Inspector or Risk assessor. ◾Experience developing and managing client relationships. ◾Experience with full execution of design/build and design/bid/build construction projects. ◾Experience with regulatory agencies and working on DoD projects is highly desired. ◾The position will require working remotely at Eareckson Air Station. ◾May require additional travel to remote sites throughout Alaska if located at Eareckson. ◾Ability to lift 50 lbs. ◾OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER and ability to pass a HAZWOPER physical For a complete job description please visit: https://....gl Please visit our website at https://....com/ to learn more about our company.
