Description AAA Quality Home Repairs, LLC is a fast-paced company looking to hire a qualified Lead Carpenter to provide "Bags-on" carpentry, guidance, and supervision for a project team. The Lead Carpenter's responsibilities include: Job-site production. Assigning and explaining tasks to your project team. Responding to clients' requests for change orders. Regularly inspecting work done by the project team to ensure that it conforms to industry standards. Lead Carpenter is a "hands-on" role where you will work alongside your team to move the project forward to completion. You should also be able to provide the critical thinking skills necessary to problem-solve project-related challenges. The Lead Carpenter is responsible for customer satisfaction, communication between the office and yourself, job site supervision, production (including protection, cleanliness, and safety), carpentry labor, supervising and scheduling subcontractors, inspections, and paperwork. To be successful as a Lead Carpenter, you should provide regular progress updates to the production manager. An exceptional Lead Carpenter would also focus on continuing education. They should be able to attend various carpentry seminars and trade events to keep abreast of new products and installation methods. Manage all on-site activities. Assigning and explaining tasks to the project team. Communicating with the office to determine the time frames for projects to be completed. Setting time-based goals for the project team that focus on project completion deadlines. Calculating the additional labor, time, and materials needed for project change orders. Ordering all construction materials needed for projects. Supervising the company's field carpenters, unskilled and semi-skilled workers, and subcontractors. Performing carpentry duties required, including both rough and finish carpentry. Maintaining accurate records of all work done by the project team within CoConstruct. Keeping the job site organized and clean; with tools and materials staged for efficiency. Pay: 40-60 per hour, depending on how you want to structure your own benefits package. Benefits packages can include: Health, Dental, Vision, or just higher wages so you can manage these things yourself. Qualifications: Proven Construction Experience in Residential Remodeling and/or Construction: minimum of 5 years Carpentry experience. Valid Driver's License (Required) Reliable Transportation (Required) General Contractor License (Optional) Previous experience with CoConstruct Software (Optional) Sound Knowledge of Safety Standards and Procedures in this Industry Excellent Time Management Skills Effective Communications Skills Strong Leadership Skills
