Carpenter Job in Miami, Florida

I need to get an estimate on the construction of some custom made wooden bat boxes. I have plans to give the general idea of the design but they would require some modifications. We would want these to be made out of some high quality wood that is better at resisting the Florida elements but they do not have to be finished. We have had past ones made out of cedar and poplar. We will be wrapping them in housing insulation and placing siding on them to add to their longevity after receiving them. Alterations that we desire would be for them to only be single chambered, instead of doubled chambered as in the plans. They would be ultimately mounted to the top of wood utility poles by us where they would slide down onto the tops. These poles vary in diameter but measuring some that we have, it looks like their diameter would be around 8” or less at the tops. We would have to shim and secure them with lag bolts after mounting them. We would prefer a slanted roof with some overhang on all sides that we would also apply a roofing treatment of shingles. The interior chamber going around the box would still be 2” but we would like a small entrance “bar”, or strip, at the bottom opening of the chamber, attached to the outer walls, that would narrow the opening by ½ an inch (1/2”x1/2” strip). The inside wall of the chamber should be scored or roughened and extend about 9” down past the outer walls to allow for a “landing pad”. We have 14 locations where we would like to replace older boxes with these new ones. This is part of a recovery program for a federally endangered bat, the Florida bonneted bat, that is only found down here in South Florida. Monies for the supplies are secured and held at the Zoo Miami Foundation. We can order whatever supplies are needed and have them delivered. We would like to have them started soon so installation of some deteriorating boxes can be started.
