Carpenter Job in Nashua, New Hampshire

Position Title: Carpenter Duration: 25-40 hours a week Company Description: Turn Cycle Solutions conducts general contracting and energy efficient installations for residential and commercial buildings. Our mission is to better improve the environment, while guiding business and home owners to conserve capital and environmental resources. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Carpenter: • Proficient in installation of windows, doors, and other general carpentry skills • Minimum of three years in all phases of residential construction. • Knowledge of residential construction and remodeling trades, practices, procedures, techniques, tools and equipment, materials, specifications, quality control, cost control, and safety. • Proficient at the following tasks: stain-grade trim work, hang doors, drill and set door hardware, set windows, layout for stairs and common rafters, read blueprints, utilize appropriate math skills. • Able to read blueprints. • Mathematical skills and analytical skills necessary to do material estimates. Project Manager: • Work with owner to produce estimates for energy reduction work • Review of time sheets and subcontractor invoicing • Onsite overview of projects – Providing sub-contractors with exact work scope and carry out benchmark inspections of onsite work per company installation methods • Onsite prep prior to installations; clean up after job is complete • Holding rigid schedule to ensure project is completed in a timely manner • Installation of: Pipe wrap insulation, duct sealing, air sealing and other general energy reduction tasks General Duties • Handle phone calls and scheduling for jobs • Review of time sheets and subcontractor invoicing • Must have own transportation to get from site to site (truck preferred) • Attend public events or meetings as needed on behalf of the owner • Punctual arrival and departure from site • Tidy appearance • Able to understand verbal and written instructions. • Adept at establishing relationships with all parties involved in the construction process that facilitate harmonious working relationships during project, and permit prompt resolution of problems and conflicts as they occur. • Able to organize assigned tasks, for completion alone or with help. • Able to complete and fulfill paperwork required for personal time sheets in a timely manner. Qualifications and Experience: • Candidate holds or is working towards Associate Degree and or BPI Auditing Certificate • Ability to work independently and solve problems with minimal supervision. • Ability to meet daily and weekly deadlines. • General managerial experience – Construction preferred • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Email. • Comfortable speaking our behalf of the company and the values the company looks to maintain.
