Business Address: 1-53111 RR220, Ardrossan, Alberta, T8E 2C6 Work Location: Various clients’ locations throughout Edmonton and surrounding areas Type of Employment: Full time – Seasonal (6 months) Estimated Start Date: May 5th, 2025 Job Description Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials Build formwork for foundations and grade beams per drawing specifications Build formwork for concrete sidewalks, barrier curbs, swales, and curb and gutters per drawing specifications Build formwork for concrete piles and pilasters per drawing specifications Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures Remove all formwork as above and organize formwork to be used in a similar fashion on future projects May drive to and from each project. Requirements -Education: Completion of secondary school is required. -Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience is required. If the candidate does not have at least 3 years of experience, then a post-secondary education certificate is required OR completion of a three-to four-year apprenticeship program will help to qualify. - Basic math skills are an asset. - Driver’s License is an asset. -Working Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Handling heavy loads, Bending, crouching, kneeling, Large workload, Work under pressure, Fast-paced environment, Manual dexterity -Personal suitability: Reliability, Team player, Client focus, Accurate, Judgement, Flexibility -Work site environment: Noisy, Dusty -Weight handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs). -Language: English is required Salary: $35.40 per hour, 40 – 44 Hours per week.
