Carpenter Job in Fort Worth, Texas

Finch and Associates Construction (F&A Construction) is a commercial rough carpentry company that has been in business in the DFW area for 45 years and we are looking to expand our company. We are in need of full time carpenters, with at least 3 years of verifiable experience is required for this position. We need people that are willing to work with a good attitude, but even more than that willing to listen, follow direction, perform to our standards and most certainly be a team player. Bilingual would be a big plus. I am looking for individuals that have the ability to communicate very well with the team as well as all superiors, and good at problem solving. I am looking to take on individuals with the intent of training them up to lead a crew as a job site foreman. A foreman position is not guaranteed, it is just a possibility if we see the potential needed for such a position. The company as a whole works as a team, and if the company succeeds the team succeeds. We need people that are physically capable to handle a sheet of 3/4" plywood, able to move about an angle roof and be able to stand on that angle roof for majority of the day and be productive. Not all of our work takes place on a roof, we will have several other types of job sites, the roof work tends to be the most strenuous and we need people capable of performing the necessary duties on such sites. You must be ok with heights, we work jobs that are several stories high, and we are on roofs at that height as well as lifts and sometimes scaffolding. You will be required to wear fall protection when it is needed/required, if you are unfamiliar with fall protection, we will train in that. Carpenters will be expected to have knowledge of rough and some finished carpentry. The ability to read blue prints is a plus and if you have some of the basic power tools that would be great as well, but not a necessity. Pay will be based on experience/ability. You will be started out at $12 per hour for the probation period, that will last a weeks time. After that time we will evaluate your work and see if you are a good fit, and if so we will adjust pay accordingly, could be up to $16 possibly more if skills surpass all expectation.
