Carpenter in Vancouver, British Columbia

I'm an
Individual
My name is Mitchell Niles, and I am seeking employment as kitchen installer or finish carpenter. Currently I reside in Calgary, but I am wanting to move to Vancouver in the near future. I have been involved with the trades, since I was a young adult, working in various fields but primarily carpentry. I currently am a deck builder, installing for Mattamy and Genesis in the new homes around the Calgary area. I started carpentry when I was in high school, and my love for it has kept me in the industry. I recently went back to school and completed a course in Interior Finishing and Trim at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology. Also I completed a class in Kitchen design at the University of Calgary. I took these classes to help build on my carpentry knowledge, specifically looking to gain skills to facilitate a switch into finishing carpentry and kitchen installation. My passion for kitchen stems from my grandfather, who was a custom cabinet maker, and all the time I spent in his shop in my youth. He crafted most of the furniture in my childhood home and always was teaching me along the way. When he was there building the cabinets, there I was ‘helping’ from about 3 years old; even if I was just sanding scrap particle board. All in all my passion for kitchens has never left me, and I seek to pursue that passion installing kitchens in the future. I am a hard working and fast learning individual, who pays attention to detail. I bring a positive and enthusiastic attitude to work. I am very adaptable, and able to work in changing job environments individually or as part of a team. I have developed strong problem solving skills through my years in the construction industry and post secondary education. I feel if given the opportunity, that I can succeed and become a great part of your team and what they have to offer. Your consideration and help is much appreciated. I have attached my resume, references and contact information. I look forward to speaking with you, in the future. Regards, Mitchell Niles (587) - ...
