Carpenter in Orlando, Florida

I'm an
Individual
I have been in the scenic carpentry and design field for the better part of 20 years. My first real job was with Universal Studios doing faux storefronts and merchandise display cabinets and windows. After 6 years, I choose to go into the high end art picture framing industry where I learned all about wood, grades, cuts, routers and cnc machine operation. and how to fine finish or paint using many different techniques from rustic or traditional to modern clean. This led to working and contracting various artists doing project art and sculpture projects, working with the city permitting and inspectors for public installation and display. The 36 ft high stainless steel and copper tree located next to lake Eola was an installation I did with artist Jake Harmeling as an example.  I was then approached by a builder looking to build a 15,000 square foot garage for a 1950's car collection. Using 3D printing, I created a full detail scale of faux 1950's storefronts, a Warrens shoe store, a Rexall drugstore, Woolworths, an Oasis bar concept, a Mobil gas station, and upstairs a 1950's diner and Roxy Theater home theater.  Once the model was approved, I worked an architect and builder to have approved blueprints made, ( although not blue these days. Lol) i used 24x36 quarter scale drawings and 11x17 details.  I subcontracted help for framing and drywall hanging, and some additional help to hang selected wall coverings. I site built window displays, signs, aged and distressed all the painting, and used many cost saving ideas along the way. This project was just under 18 months long. I've attached a few pictures...but I have a full detail crono of pictures from beginning to end. I do know that far away pictures can hide a lot of sloppy work. But I assure you, everything is clean, done right, and all the details are there. Upon completion the project looked exactly as the model in every detail. Mr. Warren Wubker was completely happy and all my work.   During this time I was also fortunate to work on a couple spec home creative projects in Golden Oak where I did an Avatar game room, and a Star Wars boys room. In these cases I wasn't the subcontractor for the project, I was brought in to finish and tie up details.  After this project ended, I've been doing custom built in closets and general home repair in the area. Several builders call me for trim and cabinet, setting doors and windows, etc.  I'm very comfortable in a creative atmosphere. I'm very open to ideas and solutions. I work hard and long hours without complaint, as I mostly work for the pride and happiness these projects bring. My work ethic and mature easy going personality make it very easy for me to fit into a professional established team. I'm clean cut, no tattoos, I don't smoke or drink, and very reliable.  I have my own tools and a truck dedicated to work. I drive a second vehicle for personal. I am knowledgeable, I have common sense, I can read a tape measure accurately, along with calculations for pitch and radius, and I'm very comfortable with electronics, lighting with LED and fluorescents, integrating motors and moving parts. I've worked with plexi, laminates, edge trims, foam and plastic, letters and lettering, sign making, etc. I am very good at problem solving, while staying on focus and project guidelines.
