Hello! I'm Tom. I recently moved back to Wilmington where I'm from looking for a full time job working with my hands. I love working on houses and have professional experience doing a wide range of residential and commercial needs. My favorite assignment thus far has been painting the ceilings of the Orlando Hyatt Hotel ballroom using motorized lifts. For my previous job in Florida I worked for a remodeling company doing a wide range of kitchen and bath assignments. Things I've done: Most of these assignments started with demo Tile - showers, floors, porches and kitchen backsplashes Sheetrock - install, tape, patch, skim, texture, knockdown ceilings Electrical - receptacles, ceiling fans, wall fixtures/lighting Plumbing - bath tubes, sinks, toilets, RV's, irrigation systems Vinyl siding - install and repair, pressure washing Paint - brush, roller, spray, latex, oil, walls, ceilings, trim, brick Stucco - barrier, casing, trim, screen, paint Chimney and vent repair - chase replacement, fire-arrest replacement, sweeper General carpentry - crown, trim, cabinets, shelving, door installation I owned my own business as a full time Professional Photographer for 16 years after photo school. Owning my own business no longer interests me but still enjoy photography assignments for extra money. In photography school I learned to build sets. I used to build rooms for commercial product photography in my studio. This is where I discovered my love for working with my hands. Before photo school I went to college for computers. After spending many years at a computer I have learned what I enjoy most is working with my hands building things and making what is already there better. I do not work to fill time. When I start an assignment of any kind my goal is to exceed expectations and improve my own ability with every brush stroke and every tile. I am eager to start a new life direction with your company.
