Carpenter in Emerson, New Jersey

Hello! My name is Justin I am 21 years old and I am currently in a management position at a retail store. I have held this full time job for over 2 years and more time at the same company as a part time employee. In my free time I'm always fixing things either for myself or someone that I know. Including power washing, installing sinks and cabinets, building small things such as coffee tables, installing light fixtures and installing floors. I have all of my own tools and most hardware I'll readily need; along with my own car and valid license. Recently I have decided that retail and office work is definitely not for me. I need to be more hands on with my work. I like doing things myself and making sure it's done the right way the first time. I'm currently looking for an apprentice or helper type position through which I can learn everything I will ever need I know. I do currently work full time monday - Friday 9-5 and 9-2:30 so weekend or afternoon availability would currently be best until both an employer and myself see me as ready to make a transfer in my career. Someday I would like to build or refinish my own house for a family and I can only do that if I fully understand the carpentry trade. Any hourly/ salary wages are open.
