Carpenter in Hot Springs, Arkansas

I am looking for work in construction industry in the Hot Springs, Benton, Little Rock area. I have been working in the welding industry for about 7 years, and am certified and proficient in aluminum as well as steel. I have a great interest in becoming a carpenter and or painter as a next step in my career path. I have some experience in both and have a passion for quality and craftsmanship. I am a very reliable employee and enjoy doing everything the right way. EXPERIENCE: -04/2007 thru 01/2014 Xpress boats Hot Springs, AR At Xpress I excelled at aluminum welding, I was the highest producer in the factory, as a boat builder, over the past five years. I also had the fewest quality issues over the same period of time. We used MIG and TIG welding processes to assemble boats; I also gained knowledge and experience as a fabricator, working with unique parts daily. -08/2006 thru 04/2007 Arlington Hotel and Spa in downtown Hot Springs, AR At the Arlington Hotel I worked night shift in the kitchen as a steward while working my way through welding school. While there I was voted employee of the month within 7 months, which is a relatively short period of time to be nominated as there are over a hundred employees working there. I gained serve safe certification while there and maintained a high amount of integrity and worked diligently at the tasks given to me. -08/2006 thru 04/2007 Welding School National Park Community College in Hot Springs, AR At NPCC I completed the welding program and gained AWS certification in several different process as well as gaining industry knowledge. I gained certifications in unlimited thickness steel plate in any position for Stick and Flux cored welding. I also completed the blueprint reading course, and gained experience in plasma cutting and oxyfuel equipment, while maintaining a high GPA. I received the presidents award for GPA. -01/ 2003 thru 02/2014 Carpentry, Painting, Electrical, Plumbing I have done odd jobs for myself in my home as well as for my family in the DIY division. I have knowledge of home renovation practices, and enjoy working as a carpenter and or painter. I would like to, as my next step, potentially work for a home improvement company so as to hone in these skills. I enjoy the work, am reliable, and have a passion for quality as well as production.
